9th annual Yuba-Sutter
CROSS-COUNTRY INVITE

HOSTS: Yuba City High School & Co-hosts Marysville High School & River Valley High School

WHEN: September 21st, 2007 - Friday

WHERE: Riverfront Park - Marysville, CA.
(map enclosed)
COURSE: 5K (3.1 miles) A challenging course consisting of dirt,
sand, gravel, pavement, & grass. The mostly 2 loop
(figure 8)
course will be marked and offers some spectator
viewing. One “stinger hill” at 2 mile point.
*6-8th grade race will be 1.5 miles

RACES: ALL 9th/10th grade Frosh-Soph Girls 2:45 PM
ALL 9th/10th grade Frosh-Soph Boys 3:15 PM
ALL 11th/12th Varsity Girls 3:45 PM
ALL 11th/12th Varsity Boys 4:15 PM
ALL 6-8th grade Boys/Girls 4:45 PM

AWARDS: •MEDALS to the first 15 runners for each grade
level for both boys and girls.
•Awards will be presented in the chute
immediately following
the finish of each race.
•Athletes not competing in the appropriate race
will not medal.
•Awards in the 6th-8th grade race will be 5 deep
for each
gender/each grade.
•No team scores will be kept, however coaches are
welcome to use the results as such.

COST: $5.00 per runner or a maximum of $100 per high school
and $50.00 maximum for middle schools.
•Late high school team entries will be an additional $20
•Late high school individual entries will be an
additional $5.00
•Checks payable to: YCHS Running Club
•Please bring your check to the meet.

ENTRIES: Entries/registration will be handled by the Athletic.net
http://www.athletic.net/
•Middle schools may register at the meet or
through the above site
•For high school teams, it would be better to
enter your entire roster early
on the above site than to pay for late entries.

 

UPON ARRIVAL: Each high school will receive a packet with bar-coded
labels for their athletes and other
meet day information.
•To allow for flexibility,
spontaneity, and possible
oversights for our middle
schoolers they may register at the
meet for no additional charge.

RESULTS: Results will be posted and provided at the end of
the meet by the About Timing Association for
high school
divisions and eventually posted on-line.
Middle school results will be provided,
posted, and mailed if requested.
Each athlete will receive a time and place.

OTHER: Athletes should come prepared to run. There are
a limited number of restroom facilities. The weather
is
traditionally very warm and dry. Be prepared. Water
will be available
for athletes after their race. Each team/school will
be
expected to clean up/pick up after themselves and
leave a clean site.
Coaches, please be responsible for the behavior of
your athletes.

 

FOOD & T-SHIRTS: The YCHS Running Club will have meet t-shirts and
runner-favorite
food items available for sale
after your race at very reasonable,
runner-friendly prices.
